Beautiful Etsy Ribbon - and Call For Ideas

I have a new favorite Etsy Shop! And new favorite craft item that I don't know what to do with!

Check out these lovely ribbons I got from MountainOfTheDragon on Etsy!

I don't think my point and shoot camera and bad photography skills do them justice. To see these and more gorgeous ribbons (and fabrics), go check out her shop. I saw Farbenmix ribbons in other shops, but this one appeared to have the most reasonable shipping. And my order arrived SUPER fast! The top two are Farbenmix ribbon, and the bottom one is Rosa Pomar.

(Note, I am a satisfied customer talking about a product I purchased and love. I have not been paid or asked to share my review by the vendor. I'm just happy about it!)

Now the question is, what do I make with this ribbon?!?!

I had to do something right away, so I hot glued some to a hairclip.

Ignore the bad hair and awful photo, and imagine how cute this will be on my little girl's head!

That wolf is too cute to be called BIG and BAD!

The hairclip used 4 inches of ribbon. (I thought about posting a tutorial, but then thought again, because basically, it's just glueing. If you've mastered the art of cruising the internet to find me, you could probably figure out where the glue goes without me!)

So now what? I need some time to google projects made with ribbon to figure out what to make with this stuff. Then I can order some more!

Any suggestions?! I'm all ears!

  1. Hi Jan. I'm Lisa, your summer swap partner. Nice to meet you!
I have to get my kids off to school and then I'll be back to snoop around and find out what kind of things you like. This should be fun!
    Have a great day!

  2. I love the ribbon. I would use it to add a little something extra to my latest denim refashions. I also love Farbenmix, I've had the Feliz and Vida patterns cut and ready to be assembled. Using the ribbon as trim for one of these dresses would also be absolutely adorable!

  4. Ooh I just thought of something! You could use it to make a camera strap. If it's not wide enough, you could just center it on a piece of coordinating fabric.

Thanks for the post on this too, her ribbons are way too cute!

Seriously the cute, could just knock me over. I feel like a kid in a candy store, I wants this, and this, and definitely this, and oh I just saw this, I think it's my new favorite, until I saw this.

I see many yards of ribbon in my future! I'll keep my eye open to see what you end up doing with yours for inspiration.

  5. Such cute ribbon! It would be cute at the bottom of a dress or a skirt! Or even a detail on a cute little lunch bag.
