The Scary Dress

You just have to see this.

For Mother's Day this year, I made a specific request of my husband. Please choose some fabric and I will make our daughter a dress with it. He was happy to oblige.

Daggers and skulls and glitter, oh my!

Just so you know, I went ahead and made the dress.

Although I haven't thought of what the right occasion would be for her to wear this. Exorcism? Gang party? Ritual Sacrifice? Probably not going to send her to her church based preschool in it.
There is a lesson here, folks.
Here is a picture of my little sweetheart, made using the same pattern (Madison by Bonnie Blue ) but in a lovely cotton lawn print by Robert Kaufman.

I think I like this dress a little better!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is such a great example of classic domestic bliss.

Visiting from Fireflies & Jellybeans Show Off Your Stuff Party.

  2. Ha! I wonder if men do things like this to get out of having to ever do them again? It's still a cute dress. Both of them.

Found you through Get Your Craft On.

  3. I don't think that this costume can be considered as a scary costume. This is really a pretty costume for kids. Please share some scary costume for me.

I love comments!
